নাটোর, ২৪ সেপ্টেম্বর- আগামী তিন বছরের মধ্যে দেশে এক লাখ ফ্রি ওয়াইফাই হটস্পট স্থাপন করা হবে বলে জানিয়েছেন তথ্য ও প্রযুক্তি প্রতিমন্ত্রী জুনাইদ আহমেদ পলক। দরিদ্র ও মেধাবী তরুণদের ইন্টারনেট ব্যবহার করে স্বাবলম্বী হওয়ার সুযোগ করে দিতেই এই ব্যবস্থা করা হবে জানান তিনি।

আজ বুধবার নাটোরের সিংড়া প্রেসক্লাবের কমপ্লেক্স ভবনের নির্মাণ কাজের উদ্বোধন শেষে আলোচনায় এ কথা জানান তিনি। তিনি আরও বলেন, "মানুষের পাঁচটি মৌলিক চাহিদার বাইরে যদি আর কোন চাহিদা থাকে, তাহলে সেটি হচ্ছে ইন্টারনেট।" এর কারণ হিসেবে তিনি বলেন, "ইন্টারনেট সুবিধা ভোগ করতে না পারলে মানুষ কোনমতেই তার পাঁচটি মৌলিক চাহিদার সুফল ভোগ করতে পারবে না।"

প্রতিমন্ত্রী আরো বলেন, "সাংবাদিকদের এমন সাংবাদিকতা করতে হবে যার মাধ্যমে দেশের সকল মানুষকে সংযুক্ত করতে হবে। নতুবা কোন উন্নয়ন সম্ভব নয়। সাংবাদিকরা অনেকটা বিনা পারিশ্রমিকে দেশের জনগনের স্বার্থে কাজ করে। তাই বর্তমান সরকার তৃণমুল পর্যায়ের সাংবাদিকদের ট্রেনিংয়ের আওতায় আনার ব্যবস্থা করছে। যাতে করে তারা ফ্রিল্যান্সিং ও আউটসোর্সিংয়ের মাধ্যমে উপার্জন করতে পারে।"

ফেসবুকে যুক্ত হচ্ছে ‘ডিজলাইক’ বাটন

সামাজিক যোগাযোগ মাধ্যম ফেসবুকে যে কোনো ধরণের ‘লাইক’ বাটনের পাশাপাশি ‘ডিজলাইক’ বাটনেরও দাবি জানিয়ে আসছিলেন ফেসবুকপ্রেমীরা। অবশেষে সেই অপেক্ষার অবসান হতে চলেছে।

ফেসবুকে খুব শিগগিরই ‘ডিজলাইক’ বাটন যুক্ত হতে চলেছে বলে ঘোষণা দিয়েছেন প্রতিষ্ঠান প্রধান মার্ক জাকারবার্গ।

মঙ্গলবার ফেসবুক সদর দপ্তরে এক প্রশ্নোত্তর পর্বে তিনি এ ঘোষণা দেন।

জাকারবার্গ বলেন, আমার মনে হয়, দীর্ঘদিন ধরেই ফেসবুক ব্যবহারকারীরা ‘ডিজলাইক’ বাটনের দাবি জানিয়ে আসছেন। আজ এই বিশেষ দিনে তাদের বলতে চাই, আমরা এটি নিয়ে কাজ শুরু করেছি। এর মাধ্যমে পছন্দের পাশাপাশি কারও অপছন্দের বিষয়টিও জানানোর সুযোগ থাকছে।

খুব শিগগিরই এটি ফেসবুকে যোগ করা হবে বলে জানান তিনি।c.d.

সবার সিম পুনঃনিবন্ধন করতে হবে না : বিটিআরসি

 সব সেলফোন গ্রাহককে সিম পুনঃনিবন্ধন করতে হবে না জানিয়েছে বাংলাদেশ টেলিযোগাযোগ নিয়ন্ত্রণ কমিশন (বিটিআরসি)। বিটিআরসির চেয়ারম্যান সুনীল কান্তি বোস সোমবার সাংবাদিকদের জানান, প্রকৃত নিবন্ধনকৃত গ্রাহকদের মোবাইল পুনঃনিবন্ধন করতে হবে না।’

নিয়ন্ত্রক সংস্থাটির কার্যালয়ে একটি সেমিনার শেষে তিনি সাংবাদিকদের প্রশ্নের জবাবে এ কথা বলেন।

গতকাল রোববার ডাক ও টেলিযোগাযোগ মন্ত্রণালয়ের আইনশৃঙ্খলা বাহিনী ও টেলিযোগাযোগ খাতের সংশ্লিষ্টদের মধ্যে এক বৈঠকে সিম নিবন্ধনের একটি নির্দেশনা আসে। যা নিয়ে গ্রাহকদের মধ্যে কিছু বিভ্রান্তির সৃষ্টি হয়। বলা হয়, সব সিম (প্রায় ১৩ কোটি) পুনঃনিবন্ধন করতে হবে। কিন্তু যারা একবার সঠিকভাবে সিম নিবন্ধন করিয়েছেন তারা কেন আবার নিবন্ধন করবেন এ নিয়ে প্রশ্ন ওঠে।

এ বিষয়ে জানতে চাইলে বিটিআরসি চেয়ারম্যান বলেন, ‘গতকালের (রোববার) বৈঠকে আমিও ছিলাম। সেখানে বলা হয়েছে, অনিবন্ধিত সিম নিবন্ধন করতে হবে।’

সিম পুনঃনিবন্ধন একটা চলমান প্রক্রিয়া উল্লেখ করে সুনিল বলেন, ‘গত তিন মাস ধরে সিম পুনঃনিবন্ধন চলছে। এটি আগের নির্দেশনার ধারাবাহিকতা। যারা সঠিকভাবে নিবন্ধিত রয়েছে তাদের পুনরায় নিবন্ধনের প্রয়োজন নেই।’

১৩ কোটি সিমের মধ্যে সবই ভুয়া সিম বলে আমি মনে করি না বলে মন্তব্য করেন বিটিআরসি চেয়ারম্যান।

তার মতে, খুচরা বিক্রেতা ও ডিস্ট্রিবিউটররা রেজিস্টেশন ছাড়াই অনেক সময় গ্রাহকের কাছে সিম বিক্রি করে। এ ধরনের গ্রাহকদের সিম পুনরায় নিবন্ধন করার পরামর্শ দেন তিনি। না হলে যাচাই করার সময় সে সব সিম বন্ধ করে দেয়া হবে বলে জানান বিটিআরসি চেয়ারম্যান।
 
নিবন্ধনহীন সিম কবে নাগাদ বন্ধ হচ্ছে সাংবাদিকদের এ প্রশ্নে সুনির্দিষ্ট করে কিছু না বলে সুনিল বলেন, ‘এটি সময় সাপেক্ষ।(c.t)

বহুল প্রতীক্ষিত অষ্টম পে-স্কেল মন্ত্রিসভায় অনুমোদন

সরকারি কর্মকর্তা কর্মচারিদের বহুল প্রতীক্ষিত জাতীয় অষ্টম পে-স্কেলের অনুমোদন দিয়েছে মন্ত্রিসভা। সোমবার প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনার সভাপতিত্বে সচিবালয়ে অনুষ্ঠিত বৈঠকে নতুন পে-স্কেল অনুমোদন দেওয়া হয়।

গত ১ জুলাই থেকে এটি কার্যকর হিসেবে ধরা হবে।

এর আগে বৈঠকে সরকারি কর্মকর্তা-কর্মচারীদের নতুন জাতীয় বেতন স্কেলের প্রস্তাব উপস্থাপন করা হয়। প্রধানমন্ত্রীর সভাপতিত্বে অনুষ্ঠিত ওই বৈঠকে উপস্থিত ছিলেন বিভিন্ন মন্ত্রণালয়ের মন্ত্রী, প্রতিমন্ত্রী ও সচিবরা। সংবাদ সম্মেলনের মাধ্যমে নতুন জাতীয় বেতন স্কেলসহ অন্যান্য আলোচিত বিষয় নিয়ে বিস্তারিত জানানো হবে।

এর আগে গত মাসে সাংবাদিকদের অর্থমন্ত্রী আবুল মাল আবদুল মুহিত জানিয়েছিলেন, সেপ্টেম্বরের শুরুতে মন্ত্রিসভার বৈঠকে অনুমোদনের জন্য সরকারি কর্মচারীদের জন্য প্রস্তাবিত নতুন বেতন কাঠামো উঠবে। অর্থমন্ত্রী জানান, নতুন বেতন কাঠামোর সঙ্গে সরকারি কর্মচারীদের দাবি অনুযায়ী সিলেকশন গ্রেড ও টাইমস্কেলের বিষয়টিও বিবেচনা করা হতে পারে।

    Gain an audience. Building an audience is key to increasing your monetization. You need people to watch your ads in order to make any money off of them. There is no one secret to getting more subscribers, just make the best content that you can and they will come to you.
